One Piece: Legends of the Grand Line
The Pirate King is dead and the world's gone hungry for legends — will the sea remember your name, or swallow it?
About this game
A living-world One Piece RPG where time never waits, reputation rides the wind, and death is permanent. Begin as a nobody on an East Blue dock in the age after Roger's execution — then carve out whatever legend the sea will let you survive: Emperor, Marine hero, world's strongest swordsman, or a name lost to the tides.
Opening scenario
Cast Off from Sabidore
A green rookie stands on the sun-bleached docks of a sleepy East Blue port as the era Gold Roger lit burns toward the horizon — and who you become begins with your very next step.
Where you start
Your setup
SCENE ZERO. Golden hour on the crooked wooden docks of Sabidore Port, a salt-bleached fishing town on a forgettable East Blue island. It is early spring in the first year of the Great Pirate Era — only weeks since Gold Roger's execution at Loguetown lit the world on fire. His last words ("My treasure? It's yours if you want it. I left it all at that place.") are on every tongue. The harbor smells of brine, fish guts, and tar. Gulls wheel. A tin-roofed tavern leans at the dock's end, smoke curling from its chimney, laughter spilling out.
[YOUR NAME] has just arrived here — a complete nobody, no name the world knows, 22,000 berry in their pocket, no crew, no bounty, no awakened power. Who they ARE is not yet decided; the opening turns forge it through action, not a form. hero fields are blank on purpose.
PRESENT IN THE SCENE:
• MARON DALÉ — old dockmaster, two fingers missing on his left hand, coiling rope near a moored single-mast dinghy. Sailed the Grand Line once, came back broken and wise. Watches every newcomer to judge who's worth a real sea-chart. Will talk sea-lore to anyone who asks straight.
• "GALE" RIKO TAMM — a loud, cocky rookie [YOUR NAME]'s own age, holding court at the tavern doorway, bragging he'll have a crew by summer. First rival or first nakama depending on how he's handled.
• PETTY OFFICER CALLA VOSS — young by-the-book Marine in a crisp coat, tacking a fresh wanted poster to the harbor board, jaw tight with the corruption she's begun to notice in her own branch. Clocks [YOUR NAME] as an unknown.
• "LEDGER" BASKO — fat, smiling black-market broker watching from a shaded crate, fanning himself, already calculating whether the newcomer is buyer, seller, or mark.
WITHIN REACH: the moored dinghy (one untied rope from the open sea), the wanted board, the tavern, Maron's coil of rope, the wide bright horizon. What happens next is entirely the player's to choose. Time will move regardless.
Things you can try
- Decide who I am
- Read the wanted posters
- Ask Maron about the sea
- Size up the rival at the bar
- Untie the dinghy and set sail
