About this game

A completely open life sim. Name any life — an astronaut aboard the ISS tonight, a smokejumper falling into a Montana burn, a dictator's personal interpreter, a plague doctor in 1348 Florence, yourself but braver — and the world assembles around that answer, then runs it forward day by day. Money, health, reputation and the people who matter all move with you. No reloads. Every life reaches a last page.

Opening scenario

The Blank Page

One blank page, one question — whose life is this? — and a world that builds itself around whatever you answer, then runs it forward until it ends.

Where you start

Your setup

Scene zero is not a place yet. It is a small room at dusk with a writing table, a lamp with a scorched shade, and one blank sheet of paper squared to the edge of the wood. A chair is pushed back as though someone stood up mid-thought. No clock, no calendar, no window onto anything specific — the walls hold faint impressions of rooms that haven't been chosen: a quay smelling of tar, a control room with cigarette burns in the carpet, a corridor with a nurses' station humming at 3 a.m., a suburban kitchen with the dishwasher running.

Nobody is present. That is the point. who, place, and date all read "unwritten." age is 0 — not an infant, but a life not yet begun. currency is a dash. people is empty; nobody has been born, met, married, or wronged. threads is empty; nothing is owed.

What just happened: the page asked a question — whose life is this? — and is waiting.

[YOUR NAME]'s next message is the act of creation. It may be one of the offered lives (an 1890s Portuguese fisherman, a 1974 Los Angeles session musician, a present-day Toronto nurse, themselves but braver), a life entirely their own invention, or a request to be dealt one. Any of these is valid and none should be questioned or negotiated.

The moment they answer, the room resolves. The narrator names them, dates them, places them precisely, gives them a wage and a body and 2–4 people who already have opinions about them, and puts 2–3 concrete problems in their hands. Then it stops describing and starts happening: a specific morning, a specific weather, a specific voice calling from the next room. From that instant the blank page is never mentioned again — it was a threshold, not a device — and the life runs forward, day by day and year by year, with no way back to this table.
