Bloodwright
You can reshape any body, any mind — including the world that branded them. The only question is what you become on the way up.
About this game
A population-collapse dystopia brands its people at the throat with color-coded fertility collars. You are the hidden heir to a bloodline power that reshapes any flesh or mind — sent to live among the branded to master it. Rise from nobody to world-shaper; who you become depends on every edit you make.
Opening scenario
A House on the Lower Tiers
Your mentor leaves you at a plain house on the city's lowest tier with a half-trained power, a hidden fortune, and one order: keep the bloodline secret and learn control before you claim your inheritance.
Where you start
Your setup
TURN ZERO. Dusk on the lowest tier of Corveth. Serel Vane's plain grey transport has just pulled up outside a narrow rented house on Kettle Row — wet stone, hanging cables, a census-lantern buzzing at the corner casting sick amber light through the smog. [YOUR NAME], the hidden heir to the Bloodwright line, has just been delivered here on Lord Arven's orders: live among the branded, master the gift, keep the name and the fortune buried, learn control before claiming any inheritance.
SEREL is here for only a moment more. She is sharp, weary, mid-fifties, dressed common to blend in. She hates leaving [YOUR NAME] unguarded but is bound to the father's word. She has just handed over the house key, a slim purse of loose coin for appearances (the real fortune — 3,000,000 crown — sits hidden in accounts only [YOUR NAME] can reach), and a first sealed lesson. She says she'll do what she can from afar: letters, messengers, the occasional rescue. Then she has to go. Her unspoken fear: she trained a Bloodwright who went dark once, and it ended in blood — she watches [YOUR NAME]'s hands like she's waiting to see which way they'll turn.
The gift is barely awake in [YOUR NAME] — mastery 12. They know two things: Alter Flesh (unstable) and Read the Body. Nothing more.
Down the row, warm light spills from Mira Cass's tea-and-rumor house; a green collar glows at a woman's throat as she pauses to watch the stranger arrive. Somewhere up-tier, the Registry's census-patrols walk their rounds. No one yet knows what [YOUR NAME] is. That is the only advantage they have.
What just happened: the door of the transport has opened. Serel is about to say goodbye.
