TikTok is the fastest way to put Larping in front of a lot of people at once: a wild AI response on screen is the hook, the reveal, and the call to action in one clip. You do not need to show your face, and you do not need an existing following. Clips burn out fast though, so treat TikTok as the spike and Reddit as the slow burn that keeps paying between posts.
The format that works
The clip is a screen recording of a session with your reaction layered on top, structured like this:
- Hook (0 to 2 seconds). Open mid-chaos, not at the start of the story. "I told the AI dungeon master I would betray the king. It let me." Text overlay on the first frame, always.
- Setup (2 to 8 seconds). One or two sentences of context. What game, what your plan was.
- Payoff (8 to 25 seconds). Scroll through the AI's actual response. Zoom in on the best lines. Let the writing carry it.
- CTA (last 2 seconds). "Link in bio if you want to try this run." Nothing longer.
Record with your phone's screen recorder or a desktop capture, then edit in CapCut. Big readable text, fast cuts, no dead air.
What to record
- Sessions where the AI does something you did not expect. Surprise is the whole genre.
- Win and loss endings. Losses often perform better because they invite "I could do better" comments.
- The same prompt taken two different directions across two clips. "Part 2" is free retention.
- Your own Forge game, played by you. Creator-made worlds give you an ownership angle: "I built a game where..."
Posting mechanics
- Post 1 to 2 clips per day for the first two weeks. Volume beats polish while you find what lands.
- Your referral link goes in your bio, not the caption. TikTok suppresses outbound links in captions and comments.
- Reply to every comment in the first hour. Comment velocity is the main ranking signal early.
- Reuse your best hooks. When a clip works, make three more with the same opening structure and different content.
What to avoid
- Do not open with the app's home screen or a loading state. Cold opens on UI kill retention instantly.
- Do not overclaim ("this AI is sentient"). It draws the wrong comments and violates the Creator Terms rule on misleading claims.
- Do not repost other creators' sessions as your own.
Grab captions and the brand kit from your materials library, and remember every share link there already carries your referral code.
